Last night we went to West Linn’s 56th Annual Old Time Fair over in Willamette Park. I never even knew this took place until I saw them setting up the carnival rides!

Since Dan won’t go on the rides with me, I can’t wait until Owen’s tall old enough to ride them with me. 🙂

Besides the rides, there were many booths with people selling their crafts, advertising their business, and also many yummy food vendors.

There was the typical fair food (cotton candy, caramel apples, popcorn), but there were also booths from local restaurants selling things like artisan pizzas by the slice and BBQ pulled pork sandwiches.

We kept passing a booth that was selling humongous elephant ear looking things. They had a huge line, it seriously seemed like everyone was either eating one or getting one. Dan noticed that it was the Lions Club – they were “lion paws”, not elephant ears. They smelled so good and technically the money’s going towards a good cause…so naturally we got one and shared it. 🙂

Then we listened to a band play for a while and just sat, talked and people-watched.

It was a nice way to spend our night – I’m really looking forward to the water ski show today and tomorrow! For the schedule and more information about the fair, click here. Overall I think we all had a good time. 🙂
